Massages as Treatment and Relaxation
Are you experiencing back pain, headaches or high blood pressure? A massage could be an effective way to help treat these common conditions. Massages have been used for thousands of years by people all over the globe to naturally treat mental and physical ailments. But also, if you don’t experience any complaints, massages function as a powerful, natural stress reliever.
At Beyond Nutrition we are a firm believer of massages and consider it part of our holistic philosophy of a naturally healthy life. Our dedicated massage therapist uses her knowledge of physiology and anatomy to combine various massage techniques. She structures her approach based on your condition and the effects.
This highly professional approach differentiates us from spa resorts and parlors. In addition, we can bring expertise from our Dietitians and physiotherapist to create a complete view if required. We offer four massage techniques:
Perfect for stress release and muscle recovery – a combination of gliding and kneading strokes to release overall muscular stress and physical tension
Deep tissue massage
Great for easing persistent muscle discomfort through trigger point therapy. Deep tissue massage targets the deeper layers of muscles, tendons, and fascia (the tissue covering muscles), releasing painful knots and reducing overall aches and pains
Hot stone massage
Specialty massage where the therapist uses smooth, heated stones as an extension of their own hands, or by placing them on the body. The heat can be both relaxing and help warm up tight muscles so the therapist can work more deeply, more quickly
Reflexology / foot massage
Stimulates the nervous system directly through the application of gentle yet firm pressure to reflex zones on your feet, hands or outer ear
